We were approached last year by the Held + Riede landscape architects of Nuremberg who brought along some ideas and design suggestions. For the playground on Köhnstraße, a noise barrier, a swing installation and a large climbing cube along a slope were planned. They carefully examined the elements (in part, calculations were made by a structural engineering firm) and carried out a design intended to give the playground a unified design language. Being that the climbing cube was located on a slope, there is rope climbing access that leads into the closed cube. What is special about this climbing rope access is its high degree of difficulty as it consists only of suspended netting and ropes as well as small rubber mats (except, of course, for the wooden structure). Climbing within the cube itself is only possible for nimble climbers. In accordance with the city\'s concept, this playground is meant for older children. At the top of the cube is a large scoop and tunnel slide that takes the children back down. And from here the climbing fun can begin anew.
