A Mikado game with colorful steel rods was selected as the theme for a new playground in Erfurt’s Süd-Park. Various sections of the park were related to one another through the “tube Mikado” theme. The equipment appears light and transparent as a structure. It exudes a sense of excitement and anticipation. The high level of difficulty in exploring the structure excludes the possibility of boredom. Climbing nets, ropes and play decks enable an ascent to the top of the slide tower. From here, the children can slide back down over a large tunnel slide in stainless steel.
Scattered across the playground terrain there are also sandboxes, playhouses, swings for toddlers and a climbing ramp that grants access to a second, wider slide.
For athletic adolescents there is a volleyball net for beach-style playing. A net is firmly assembled onto colorful tubes and allows altogether uncomplicated, spontaneous play. Just bring a ball and have fun….
