Working closely together with the office of ProGarten, a castle facade and dragon climbing frame design was created for Ebersstrasse. The idea and the request for these elements was brought to us by ProGarten.
The elements for the castle facade were very important to serve as cladding for a cement wall already present on the grounds... The drawbridge functions as a moving tier, connecting the somewhat higher castle area with the sand area below. In the lower sand area, the castle dragon has been erected with its many climbing offerings. Here, too, a high degree of abstraction was necessary because elements including a nest swing and rope bridge needed to be integrated into the dragon. But a continuous top line and its fully painted structure optically pull together the climbing structure in an effective way.

Upon the builder’s request, we constructed the entire apparatus using robinia wood. This project was, of course, realized in the customary high quality in which we work when using the usual oak wood. The Robinia wood was freed of splint and polished. As requested, this wood was also mounted on the post anchors. Practically no limits are set regarding longevity due to this.
