Playground "Leiblsteg"

The 180-meter-long pedestrian and cycle path in Nuremberg was named after the painter Wilhelm Leibl. The Leiblsteg connects Eberhardshof and the southern district of Leyh. In 2016, the green area on the north side of the Leiblsteg underwent a comprehensive redesign. New route connection along the railway line to the Ringbahn as well as a new playground was built on the site.

Together with the landscape architect Andrea Wolf Zimmer.Obst designed a playground for young and old.
A "big through one" was created for the 6-12 year olds. A climbing and balancing system with balancing beams, balancing plates, rubber mats, climbing nets, wobbling bridge and slide. In between are three different cubes, which were mounted like tree houses high up on steel bars and connect the Balancierstrecke.
For the 3-6 year olds a "small through one" was built. Also a climbing and balancing track only with lower fall heights and lighter elements, such as balancing beam, climbing net, net mats, climbing band, ladder, slide and a cube. Of course, a sand game, a double swing and a nest swing could not be missing!
The new playground with the bright friendly colors radiates from far and lures the children to play and run around.
