Playground for the Markgrafenkarree

In the heart of Berlin, near "Checkpoint Charlie" and the Gendarmenmarkt, the new residential complex "Markgrafenkarree" was built on a former school campus in 2016. Spread over 16 buildings, a residential complex with 364 apartments, office units and shops on the ground floor has been planned. In the central area of the courtyard there should be a garden with children's playground and living areas.

A large climbing and balancing facility is the main playground in the courtyard. The many multicolored four-edged woods, screwed on one another, are reminiscent of the well-known children's game Mikado. Different attachments, such as horizontal bar, slide, climbing wall, climbing nets, rung ladder, slide bar and hammock increase the play value. There is also a round playhouse in the courtyard for hiding, digging and balancing and, matching the design of the other playground equipment, a double swing and a mini nesting swing.
