On the spacious grounds in Marzahn-Hellersdorf, visitors can also immerse themselves in fantasy worlds: The Zimmer.Obst GmbH built two playgrounds for the IGA Berlin in its workshop halls in Brandenburg. According to the ideas of the landscape architects geskes.hack, inspired by the future fantasies of Erich Kästner from his children's book "May 35 or Konrad rides into the South Seas", imaginative theme playgrounds are created.

Playground "Polynesian giant ants"
Like Konrad, Erich Kästner's children's book hero, who met the "Polynesian giant army" in the jungle, the IGA visitors will also discover giant arms on their way through the forest of Kienberg. In a clearing below the cloud grove, 3 giant ants and an anthill await to climb. An ant has a size of 5 meters long, 5 meters wide and 3 meters high. Their tubular steel frame construction with wooden components produces the required stability. Between the ant legs hang soft net mats, ropes and small rubber surfaces that invite you to climb, hang and balance.
