Playing with different building cultures
The playing installation “Huts and Palaces” was designed by the Berlin-based K1 landscape architects and planned – as well as manufactured – in close collaboration with Zimmer.Obst.
With their colourful mix of materials and forms, the six individually-designed towers symbolize the world’s various building cultures.
The playing constructions, which are connected with varied climbing courses, were designed from naturally-grown robinia logs. This gives these constructions a very vibrant, lively appearance; they are lopsided and crooked as though they are getting ready to run off and tell their stories. The imaginative roofs with their radiant colours dance about over the clearing like a little skyline.
