The Ice Age returns to Hanover
A new playground at Hanover‘s Löfflerweg was planned for the Fall of 2012. The involved architects envisioned a theme centred on Ice Age squirrels with abstract acorns.
Plans were drawn up for a slide tower with various ascents for climbing and a sand play platform. Various carved ornaments underscore this theme including acorns in differing sizes and a stylized squirrel upon the play deck that is in the process of grabbing an acorn.
