This playground’s diverse climbing elements align with the “shipyard” theme in a very abstract manner. The playground boasts \"work platforms\" (decks that are well-suited for baking sand cakes and digging, etc) that are connected with steel tubing walkways on vertical walls. Children can duplicate real shipyard sounds incredibly well in these passageways.
A slide-tower shaped like a cargo crane can be reached via undulating gangplanks. Kids climb the stairs and descend using a tunnel slide. On the landing stage, an unfinished ship construction invites children to take up further building activities.
For clever kids, the red-and-white color scheme symbolizes the local place of action – also in connection with the street name.
