In 2006, the city of Antwerp organized a call for tender for the design of a new play structure at the local Stadtplatz. We took part in the archeological site-themed competition in connection with the Belgian company Delphi.

Our project incorporated all of the city’s ideas and thus, together with the Delphi company, we won the contract.

Stylized palms give this playground a jungle look and feel; tool boxes as well as spades and tables can be seen on the archeological expedition grounds. Old lamps, a microscope and an “old stone slab with a color image” have just been unearthed. Unfortunately, the expedition Jeep has broken down and has now been jacked up in makeshift fashion. Everything has the look and feel of adventure and excitement. Creepy and crawly animals are everywhere to be found. There is ample opportunity to move, balance and climb in a myriad of different ways.
