Our field representative Frau Jaekel approached us with a request from Düsseldorf’s parks department for an artistic and customized new forest playground in the Hasseler Forest.

Among the many requests put forth was a desire for a high level of difficulty for the climbing course, lots of bridges and ropes between the separate trees that were to be customized on site. Trolls and hobgoblins in abstract form were also requested.

With the help of an appointment that was conducted on-site, we were able to get a good overview of this particular section of the Hasseler Forest together with Frau Volmer of the parks department.

We made every attempt to consider all of the climbing course and play equipment requests that were voiced in the design draft that we came up with.

In July of 2011, we were able to commence work on this very successful example of a forest playground, which also complies with safety standards based on EN 1176.
