Oversized blades of grass were renewed as part of the preparation for the IGA 2017 in the central meadow park on the playground "Wiesentraum".
The park is part of the recreational area Wuhletal and lies between the "Gardens of the World" and the Landsberger Allee. As part of the preparations for the IGA 2017, the park was upgraded with funds from the urban redevelopment program.
The "Wiesentraum" playground is a challenging course made up of a variety of robinia trunks that represent oversized blades of grass. The stalks are primarily arranged in rows that form different rectangles - which corresponds to the design language of the game, sports and recreation rooms throughout the park.
Along the stalks there are many different possibilities for climbing, balancing and hanging. The level of difficulty increases, so it is likely that the children will be re-visited until the entire game course has been mastered. Two swings and a pedestal complete the offer.
The new playground has been in operation since June 2016 and was inaugurated on the 30th of August.
